DIARADO X CONCORDE
ELF
2009 | 16.1hh | Brood Mare | Black | KWPN
Absolutely stunning mare with an incredible pedigree, littered with 1.60 jumpers on both sides. By the highly sought after Diarado, son of the legendary world no.1 showjumping sire Diamant De Semilly, out of a Concorde mare!
Purchased at Brightwells Starts of the future sale as a 3 year old. Selected for the 4yo style & performance Final at Scope & finalist at the 4yo Final at Addington, she showed huge promise as a young horse.
However due to other priorities, she has only been to a limited amount of shows over the years and after being bought back into work recently it became apparent that she has sadly suffered a soft tissue injury. This unfortunatley means she can’t currently be ridden and so due to her invaluable proven bloodlines we think she would now be best suited as a broodmare.
She has some of the best Showjumping bloodlines available and showed top potential as a young horse.
She is a lovely mare, full of quality and paddock sound. Had a full set of clean x-rays as a 3yo and recent clean x-rays of the injury which are completely OCD and chip free. Although she hasn’t had a foal yet, Im sure with all her quality and her outstanding pedigree she would produce some very exciting foals for the future.
She comes form a top mother line. Her brother United (G and C Sonny) ridden by Rodrigo Pessoa 1.60 level! and other siblings competing 1.45 – 1.60 & have the highest predicates. Absolutely stunning stamp of a sports horse. Same home since a 3yo. 5* home important.
Price Band A – £0 – £5000

DAM : NIMF Elite, D-OC, Prest, Pref
Concorde x Purioso
Elf comes from a strong motherline. Her dam Nimf has numerous offspring jumping upto 1.60 level and has been awarded the following prdicates…
ELITE
The highest predicate that a mare can obtain by the KWPN in the area of conformation and health. A mare with this predicate is part of an exclusive group of very high quality mares. A breeder with an elite mare has a genetically healthy mare, with an above average conformation and talent for the sport.
D-OC
Passed DNA / X-rays to show that they are free from hereditary OCD
PRESTATIE
This indicates the power of inheritance of a mare with respect to sport. This predicate is also of great value to a broodmare. It means that her offspring performs well in the sport. To achieve this predicate, a mare with a maximum of three descendants must achieve a minimum of five points according to the system explained on the page score for Prestatie predicate. A mare with, for example, two descendants at Z-jumping with winning points and one having five winning points in M-jumping, has exactly five points and is therefore eligible for the Prestatie predicate
PREFERENT
When a mare has achieved the predicate preferent, this means that her offspring has performed well at the inspection. This is an important predicate for a broodmare, because a preferent mare has proven to deliver offspring with a good conformation and the necessary talent for the sport. If at least three of her direct offspring have achieved the predicate ster, keur or elite at an inspection or if they are appointed for a second round viewing at the KWPN-Stallion Show, the mare has deserved the preferent predicate. A descendant registered as an approved stallion in a studbook acknowledged by the KWPN does also count for the preferent status of his mother.
DAM SIRE : CONCORDE
Concorde comes from very strong jumping lines on both sides. Sire of this stallion, who in jumping circles is known as Olympic Concorde, is the impressive dominant breeding stallion Voltaire, who via his sire Furioso II and Gotthard is bred to perform. Voltaire is the number 2 in the World Breeding Rankings for Showjumping Sires in 1996. Voltaire, through the performances of his offspring, stands very high in both the dressage and jumping indexes. Due to his high ranking position, Voltaire was given the ‘keur’ and ‘preferen’ predicates at a very early age. Concorde’s dam, Flyer, is by the legendary Marco Polo, one of the most influential Dutch stallions in breeding and jumping with representatives such as: Irco Polo, Pybalia, Marius, Orpheus, Mr LA, Pierrot and Recruut.
Flyer is related to the international jumper Vivaldi, which under Melanie Smith was speed horse of the Year in 1980. Flyer produced at least 6 (inter)national jumpers. Concorde was himself an international jumper with Jos Lansink. They won the Grand Prix of Nordrhein-Westfalen at Aken and they were Champion of the Netherlands in 1994, 2nd in the Grand Prix of Amsterdam, 2nd Darmstadt, 2nd Lanaken, 2nd Helsinki and 2nd Gothenburg. The last three years Concorde was the sire with the most offspring at the World Breeding Championships for young horses. The preferent Concorde has proved himself to be an absolute top sire of international sporthorses. His offspring Audi’s Jikke, Kathja, Conquest II, Larino, Viktor and Isabella proved themselves at the very top at Grand Prix level (1.60 m.) and World Cup jumping. In the Grand Prix of Rotterdam 3 from the top 8, had Concorde to thank as their sire. At the World Cup final at Las Vegas had 4 offspring in the finals. Concorde was the youngest stallion ever to be awarded preferent, due to his endless list of national and international children. Concorde was elected Horse of the Year in 2004 and is the highest ranked KWPN stallion in the top ten of the WBFSH.
